After originally closing the doors to the public for the final two rounds of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Thursday morning, the conference later announced that the tournament has been canceled.

The tournament semifinals was set to begin in New Orleans on Saturday. The Sun Belt Conference announced the decision via a statement.

“After further discussion with the Presidents and Chancellors and Directors of Athletics and mounting concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Sun Belt Conference has decided to cancel the remaining games of the 2020 Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships scheduled for March 14-15 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.”

The Trojans were scheduled to take on Louisiana on Saturday. The Trojans were crowned the regular season conference champion.
