The Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge will remain open for the foreseeable future.

However, Library Director Theresa Trawick and programs and meetings for March and much of April have been canceled due to precautions about the coronavirus.

“Computers will be available for necessary work including census, job applications, school assignments and other related activities,” Trawick said. “Computers many not be used for entertainment. As usual, in order for children to use the computers, they must be accompanied by their parents or guardian.”

Trawick said Wi-Fi can be used from the library porch.

“Parents are encouraged to use the library’s website for children’s learning,” she said. “We encourage reading or watching movies during the time school is closed. Instead of coming to the library, we encourage children and teen agers to use eBooks which are available 24-7. A link to the service is available at the library’s website. Call us if you need help.”

Trawick said those who are searching for books of interest may use the library’s website to find books on many different subjects and by different authors.

“On the website to check out books ahead, you may create an online account with your library card number as the long-in and you last name, lower case, to reserve the book. Then, we will contact you about curbside service
