POLICE RELEASE PHOTOS OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS

Troy Police are asking the public’s help in identified two armed men who robbed the Dollar General Store in Banks around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

“The suspects entered the store armed with handguns and demanded money from the clerk,” said Chief Randall Barr.

The suspects took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and left the store on foot.

No one was injured.

“It is believed that the suspects ran to a vehicle that was parked on the side of U.S. Highway 28 just north of the store,” Barr said, adding the vehicle headed northbound on U.S. 29.

“We’re asking that anyone with information about the individuals responsible for this crime or anyone traveling through the area between 8:30 and 9 p.m. who may have seen a vehicle parked on the side of the road to contact Troy Police Department or Crimestoppers,” he said.
