Troy Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Friday on U.S. 29 South near the Conecuh River Bridge.

“Officers responded to a report of a man down just after 7 a.m. this morning,” said Police Chief Randall Barr. “When officers arrived, they found the body of a male subject lying the grass south of the Conecuh River Bridge.”

Barr said police are not releasing any more details of the investigation at this time. Police are asking anyone with information about the case or anyone who travelled through the area and observed anything suspicious to call the TPD at 334-5660-0500.
