“ No through traffic will be permitted on Montgomery Street during this closure,” she said. “ Local traffic only for access to the adjacent properties along Montgomery Street will be allowed.”

Also, no truck traffic will be allowed on Montgomery Street during this closure. Motorists and all truck traffic are required to access Three Notch Street, US Hwy 29 North, West. Madison Street, and the downtown Troy areas from South Three Notch Street or Trojan Way during this time. Motorists and trucks that disregard the Road Closed and Do Not Enter signs are subject to a fine.

During construction, the southbound lane on South Three Notch Street at and south of the intersection of Montgomery Street and South Three Notch Street will be closed during this period, as well.  Southbound traffic will be shifted to utilize the center lane.

“Motorists are asked to use caution and mind traffic signs, law enforcement, and construction workers in this area during this construction project,” Sanders said. “ Please continue to watch for pedestrians and slow-moving vehicles. We thank you for your patience during this project as we work hard to improve your city.”
