Warrants have been issued for three men suspected of stealing a gun, a television and an ATV from a residence in Linwood earlier this month.
Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas said the warrants were issued after deputies identified the three suspects – two of whom live in Bullock County and one in Pike County.
Thomas said deputies responded to the call around 1 p.m. on May 13 when the residents came home and found the burglary had taken place.
“During the first burglary of the home, a Remington 9 mm handgun was taken,” Thomas said. After leaving, the suspects returned a second time and entered the residence, taking a canister with about $600 in loose change and a TV.
“The left the residence and decided to go back a third time and get ATV keys that were inside,” Thomas said. “After taking the ATV keys, they stole a 2017 Honda Foreman 500 valued at $10,000.”
The four-wheeler was recovered in Bullock County during the course of the investigation. The handgun and TV also have been recovered, the sheriff said. “The total value of the recovered property is over $11,000.”
The suspects, who have not been named at this time, will be charged with three counts of burglary third degree and one charge of theft of property first degree, Thomas said.
