Robert Finnie McDaniel Sr. peacefully passed away at Ft. Walton Beach Hospital on August 6th, 2020. He was born in Banks, Alabama and has resided at 126 Edwards Circle, Valparaiso, Florida since 1961. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. McDaniel; his daughter, Laura Gardner; and his parents: Fred and Lela McDaniel.  He is survived by his son, Robert F. McDaniel Jr. He has 3 grandchildren: Alex Gardner, Tia Connelly and Tomee Smits. He has 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Grace Senn (Joe), and Wendell McDaniel (Paula).  Robert Sr. worked at Eglin Air Force Base for 30 years before he retired and served with the armed services briefly during the Korean Conflict. Graveside Services will be held at Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery in Banks, Alabama, Monday, August 10th at 2:00. The Reverend Lew Wilder presiding. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Kelly Carico, Jay Senn, Brett McDaniel and Alex Gardner.
