All but 2 of the six local teams will be in action on Friday night. The Troy Trojans will be playing on Saturday night.
Zion Chapel, Ariton, Charles Henderson, and Pike Liberal Arts will all get on the field Friday night with one home game and three away games.
The Troy Trojans (1-0) will be on the road again this week when they take on 18th ranked BYU in Provo, Utah.
The Zion Chapels Rebels (0-4) have yet to find their first win of the season after last week’s 16-6 loss to Houston County. They hope to find it this week when they face off against Samson on the road.
The Ariton Purple Cats (2-3) fell 52-6 against G.W. Long last week, and hope to get back over the .500 mark when they play Slocomb on the road.
The Charles Henderson Trojans (0-3) are also in need of their first win of the season after last week’s 45-12 loss to Andalusia. They hope to gain their first win this week when they take on Williamson at home in Troy.
After last week’s cancellation, the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots (3-0) look for their 4th win of the season when they take on Chambers Academy on the road in Lafayette this week.
Both Goshen and Pike County had games scheduled for Friday, but both were non-region contests. Pike County Schools decided that Goshen and Pike County would play only region games in 2020.
