Bettye June Warr Messick, age 76, a resident of Troy, AL died Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Troy Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services were held on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, AL with the Reverend Rick Hayes officiating.

Graveside services were held at 3:00 pm in Weed Cemetery in Weed, AL south of Brantley, AL.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Yates Railey and Jeff Railey; son and son-in-law, Andy Yates and Jack Pearson, son Charles Carroll Messick; daughter, Sue Moody; grandchildren, Allyson Railey, Rosa Railey, Justin Moody (Michelle), Kelsie Moody; great-grandchildren, Kendall Moody, Jantzen Moody, Daulton Swanner, Collin Swanner, Kimber Davis; sister-in-law, Lula Warr; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her loyal pet companion, Buddy the cat.
