Marylyn Martha McNair, age 96, formerly of Troy, AL died Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Tallassee, AL.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 12:00 pm from the graveside in Green Hills Memorial Park with the Reverend James Howard Peters, Jr officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 10:30, am until 11:30 am at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Miss McNair was born on June 22, 1924 in Troy, AL to Talmage D. and Mary Hall McNair. She was a 1942 graduate of Troy High School, and then went on to pursue her Undergraduate Degree from Troy State Teachers College. Following graduation she attended Peabody College in Nashville, TN for her Masters Degree. During her career as an educator she taught in Tallasse, AL, Lakeland, FL, and Orlando, FL. In 2006, she moved to Montgomery, AL and became a resident of Wesley Garden Assisted Living Facility. Throughout her life she served as a devout follower of Christ as a lifelong member of The Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sister: Miriam M. Parker of Dade City, FL; nieces: Ana Parker Patterson of Dade City, FL, Carole McNair Cobb of Dothan, Melody McNair Dochoff (Seine) of Elmhurst, IL, Marella McNair Collins (Bert) of Dothan, Leigh McNair Smeltzer (Kurt) of Douglasville, GA; nephews: Alan T. Parker (Jeannine) of Tallassee, AL, Charles C. McNair, Jr. (Adela) of Bogata, Columbia, Clay M. McNair of Dothan, John Wesley McNair, Jr. (Sheryl) of Blowing Rock, NC, Mark H. McNair (Rhonda) of Marietta, GA; and several great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Talmage D. and Mary Hall McNair; brothers: Charles C. McNair, Sr. (Nora Joyce), and John Wesley McNair, Sr.

In-lieu-of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Troy.
