Playoff seeds on the line Friday night

Pike Liberal Arts will play for  region title, while Pike County and Ariton hope to lock down playoff spots during what will be a busy Friday night of football. Pike County, Goshen, Zion Chapel, Ariton, Charles Henderson, and Pike Liberal Arts will all get on the field Friday night with 3 road games and 3 home games.

The Pike County Bulldogs (3-2, 3-2) picked up their second-straight win on the road last week when they defeated Childersburg 43-7. They play Reeltown (4-4, 3-3) at home to finish out their regular season on Friday in Brundidge.

The Goshen Eagles (0-6, (0-6) hope to end their season on a high note as they take on Catholic Montgomery (7-2, 6-0) at home in Goshen on Friday.

The Zion Chapels Rebels (0-8, 0-6) are looking to win their first game after suffering eight straight losses heading into this week. They face Geneva County (6-2, 4-2) on the road in Hartford on Friday.

The Ariton Purple Cats (4-5) – (3-3) are riding a two-game home winning streak and look to defeat Cottonwood (1-6, 1-4) to become playoff eligible on the road in Cottonwood on Friday.

The Charles Henderson Trojans (1-6) – (1-4) won their first game of the season last week in a 24-19 contest against Carroll. They face Headland (0-8, 0-5) this week on the road in Headland on Friday. 

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots (5-1) – (3-0) hope to win their first region title since 2008 when they take on the undefeated Glenwood Gators in Troy.

The Troy Trojans (3-1, 1-0) will play Georgia State (1-2, 0-2) in their Homecoming game at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
