Ariton finishes season with loss to Isabella

The Ariton Purple Cats fell to Isabella 7-13 in a first-round playoff game on the road in Maplesville on Friday night.
The Purple Cats (5-6, 4-3) recorded 193 total yards of offense, with 54 through the air and 139 on the ground.
Quarterback Ian Senn completed one of his four pass attempts for 30 yards, and Cade Webb completed two of his five passes for 24 yards during his time at QB.
Three passes were caught during the game on Friday night.
Landon Tyler caught two passes for 24 yards, and Isaiah Johnson caught one pass for 30 yards.
The rushing team scored the lone touchdown of the night during the second quarter.
Jordan Smith, who ran the ball 13 times for 89 yards, scored the TD for the Purple Cats. Senn ran the ball six times for 29 yards, and Cade Webb ran the ball seven times for 26 yards.
The defensive players had their biggest game of the season; with six different players recording at least nine tackles each.
Landon Thrash led the defense with 11 tackles and had an interception, while CJ McNabb recorded 10 tackles. Landon Tyler, Chase Hughes, Kyron Danzy, and Dewayne Riley all recorded nine tackles each.
Senn made his only point-after-touchdown attempt for one point.
The Purple Cats scored seven points in the second quarter but were held scoreless in the other three quarters. The Mustangs scored seven points in the first quarter and six points in the second, but were unable to score in the second half.
The Purple Cats finished their regular season in fourth place in Region 2. They were 5-5 overall on the year.
