The Troy Trojans (12-8, 10-0) remained undefeated in Sun Belt Conference Volleyball play this week by sweeping the ULM Warhawks (4-20, 0-10) in a series of matches on the road.
The wins mark the longest winning streak in Troy Volleyball history and put Troy safely in command of The Sun Belt West as the only remaining undefeated team in the division.
In game one, Troy knocked off ULM 3-2 in a back-and-forth contest. The Trojans lost the first set 25-17 but won the second 25-13 to tie the match. ULM retook the lead with a 25-20 win in the third set but the Trojans rallied to take the next two 27-25 and 15-4 to win the match.
Tori Hester led Troy with 23 kills, six aces 20 digs and one block, while Amiah Butler chipped in with 16 kills and three digs. Julia Brooks also earned seven kills and Janelle Stuempfig dished 40 assists.
In game two, on Oct. 21, Troy bested ULM 3-1. Troy took the first set 25-17 but lost the second 25-16. The Trojans then secured the series win by taking the third and fourth sets 25-17 and 25-21.
