CHHS throttles Barbour County

The Charles Henderson Trojans knocked off the Barbour County Jaguars by a score of 74-32 on Tuesday.
It was all Trojans from the start with CHHS outscoring Barbour County 24-6 in the opening period and holding a 42-13 lead at halftime. CHHS also outscored the Jags 32-19 in the second half.
Charles Henderson was led by Jywon Boyd with 12 points, while both Bray Jones and Dertavious Lee scored eight points each. Tyler Cross added seven points and a total of 13 Trojans scored at least two points. In the win seven CHHS players scored six points or more. Michale Blackmon scored nine points to lead Barbour County.
Since Charles Henderson’s full team got together earlier in November, the Trojans are 4-0.
The Lady Trojans also picked up a 56-29 win over Barbour County as Takeiya Brockton tallied 20 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals to lead the way. while Madison Ousley scored 14 points and grabbed eight boards with three assists and six steals, while Harmony Hubbard chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Also on Tuesday, Ariton dropped its game with Providence Christian 63-41. The Purple Cats were outscored 26-6 in the fourth quarter. Ian Senn led Ariton with 14 points, while Matthew McNair added nine in the loss.
The Lady Purple Cats fell 68-67 in a tough loss to Providence Christian, as well. Nya Allen led Ariton with a staggering 39 points and 15 rebounds, while Lizzy Woodfaulk scored 14 points in the loss.
