Dennis Wayne Griffith, age 76, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, after an extended illness.  Funeral services were held at 11:00am on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery Veteran’s Plaza, with Rev. Bobby Templin officiating and American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 607 rendering full military honors.  Visitation began at 10:00am at Green Hills Funeral Home.

A decorated Vietnam war veteran, Dennis retired from the US Army after 20 years of military sacrifice for our country.  After retirement, Dennis lived in Troy and served our community in various positions in the criminal justice system.  Dennis also volunteered within our community in a number of organizations such as The Salvation Army, The Exchange Club, as well as Post 70 of the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 607 and many others.   Dennis was born and raised in Kansas, and was a wonderful brother, husband, and father.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving survivors include his wife, Susan Little Griffith; daughters, Holly Turner (Casey), Jennifer Griffith; grandchildren, Vivian Turner, Carson Turner; sisters, Nancy Griffith, Marsha Barfoot (Carey), as well as extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar & Lelia Rose Griffith.
