Troy native Zion Grady has had a busy January after transferring from Charles Henderson High School to Enterprise High School and then decommitting from the University of Alabama.
Grady is a four-star edge rusher and is considered one of the top rated high school prospects in the country. He has won The Messenger’s All-Messenger Defensive Player of the Year two years in a row and also won the ASWA 5A Lineman of the Year last season and is a finalist for the award again this season.
At Charles Henderson last season, Grady compiled 87 tackles, 24 tackles-for-loss, 11 sacks, 22 quarterback hurries and an interception return for a touchdown for the Trojans. Grady will play his senior season at nearby Class 7A Enterprise High School, coached by former Troy Trojan Ben Blackmon.
Late last year, Grady committed to play college football at Alabama but since the retirement of legendary coach Nick Saban has since decommited from the Crimson Tide. Grady holds offers from all over the country, including offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Arkansas, Oregon, Penn State, USC and many more.
