Perhaps the most ominous day of the year is April 15
Friday 13th does not begin to compare with the anxiety leading up to …Tax Day.
Walking under a ladder can be avoided. Skirting around Uncle Sam is not a possibility.
The Pike County Extension office in Troy has good news for qualifying tax payers.
Abby Peters, Pike County Extension coordinator, said the VITA Tax Program is available from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Pike County Extension Office on South Brundidge Street through March 28.
The VITA Tax Program is for those making $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. “
Peters said clients will need to drop off all tax documents and information, direct deposit information, and all other tax information from 2023.
For any questions, call the Pike County Extension Office at 334-566-0985.
