MONTGOMERY, Ala.–Sign installation began Wednesday, March 20, in preparation for an Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on US-29 in Troy.
The project consists of planing and resurfacing US-29 from just north of the US-231 overpass to Needmore Road.
Construction will begin soon after all signs are installed.
Lane closures are expected throughout the project. Travelers should plan accordingly for delays and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
The $1.6 million project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed by Summer 2024.
