The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin resurfacing of U.S. Highway 29 in Troy on Monday, April 1.
The project will consist of planning and resurfacing U.S. Highway 29 from just north of the U.S. Highway 231 overpass to Needmore Road in Troy. Lane closures are expected throughout the project and travelers should plan accordingly for delays and are asked to be mindful of workers and equipment in the work zone.
The resurfacing project is a $1.6 million project and is expected to be completed by Summer 2024. The bid for the project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., from Birmingham.
