Barbara Lee “Jackson” Motes of Troy, AL went to be with our Heavenly Father Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Weed officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral Home from 1:00 p..m until time of service. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was born in Alabama, October 31, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Katie Lee Jackson; two sons, Kerry and Keith; brother, Charles; sisters, Mary Lou, Dorothy and Pat. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Motes; daughter, Robin Powell (Greg); son, Randy Motes; sister, Sara Carroll (Cliff); brother, Buddy Jackson (Nancy); grandchildren, Kayla, Niki, Courtney, Josh, Korry, Mathew, Taylor, and Kerrigan; great grandchildren, Khloe, Aubrey, Nilah, Lacy, and Euma. The family would like to thank staff at Luverne Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice for the loving care of their mother.
