“A really good night from the yard across the board. I thought the arms showcased good stuff, and our defense was clean,” Troy Coach Skylar Meade said. “The offense just grinded like it does and broke through in the second half of the game. It was just a fun night, and tomorrow, we get a much-needed day off, and then we get to work on Thursday. In our system, everything we do counts. That’s not symbolic. That’s something we live by. And our guys provide that leadership.”
Ethan Kavanagh led Troy at the plate, going 3-for-6 with a double, three RBIs and a run, while Ben Arnett went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run. Meyers also went 2-for-3 with a double, four runs and four stolen bases, while Aidan Gilroy went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and one run.
