Spring Fest set for Saturday in downtown Brundidge

Spring Fest, the annual arts and crafts show in Brundidge is set for Saturday on the grounds of the historic Bass House on South Main Street.
Everyone is invited to “drop by” and take a chance on winning $500. Jeanette Lampley, president of the sponsoring Brundidge Business Association, said the Cow Patty Drop always generates a lot of interest at Spring Fest.
Tickets for the Cow Patty Drop are five dollars and will be available at the sponsor’s tent.
The prize of $500 will be awarded to the ticket holder of the square where the patty was dropped.
The winner of the Cow Patty Drop will be announced at noon but the fun of Spring Fest 2024 begins at 8 a.m. with music, dancing, games, demonstration booths, arts, crafts and a wide variety of festival foods
The Brundidge Business Association has planned a full day of shopping and fun for all ages.
“Randy Ross is the emcee for Spring Fest and Henry Everett will provide the music, “Lampley said. “And there will be entertainment at the Knox Ryals Pavilion throughout the day.”
Entertainment will get off to a tapping and clapping start when Patty Rutland Jazz takes the stage at 10 a.m.
The Southside Shufflers will follow at 10:30 a.m. And, the popular line dancers won’t mind if the audience joins them for The Electric Slide. Troy’s KFPA Creative Dancers will take center stage at 11:30 a.m.
