This past weekend, the Troy Trojans women’s basketball team landed a big time transfer when it was announced that former Oklahoma State forward Brianna Jackson would be transferring to Troy.

The 6-foot-3-inch Jackson is a Virginia Beach, Virginia native that was rated as a four-star prospect coming out of Princess Anne High School. She was the VHSL 5A State Player of the Year as a senior and earned First-Team All-State as she led her school to four state championships.

Jackson started her college career at Miami (Fla.) and averaged 4.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, one steal and 1.3 blocks in 16 starts as a true freshman. In 2021, Jackson transferred to Old Dominion and averaged 7.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. In 2022-2023, Jackson averaged 6.4 points and 4.5 rebounds.

This past season, Jackson transferred to Oklahoma State but was only able to play in four games. In her four games, she averaged four points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Jackson will play in her final year of eligibility at Troy.

Jackson will join a huge signing class for the Trojans heading into the 2024-2025 season. This new class of signings also includes transfers Jamirica Roberson from Bishop State, Briana Peguero from Mercer, Ashley Baez from Florida Gulf Coast, Emani Jenkins from Trinity Valley, Khila Morris from Union, Emma Imevbore from Arkansas State, Adriana Jones from Shelton State and Fortuna Ngnawo of Cochise College.
