Charles Henderson’s Payton Ousley wins State Track Championship

Charles Henderson freshman Payton Ousley captured the Class 5A State Championship in the 100-meter dash at the AHSAA State Track and Field Meet this week.
Ousley took first place with a time of 12.24 to earn the state championship. Ousley also earned a third place finish in the 200-meter dash and was a member of the 4×100-meter relay team, which earned state runner-up. Joining her on the runner-up 4×100-meter relay team was Tailor Hobdy, Ryann Thomas and LaTia Robinson.
Also earning a state runner-up finish in the boys discus toss was Brandon Givens. Givens also finished seventh in the shot put. CL Siler earned an eighth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles.
