Just in the nick of time, The Book Store at the Troy Public Library has books especially for Mother’s Day.

Iris Byrd, Book Store manager, said the Book Store always has a large selection of books for every interest and every occasion. So, at special times of the year, the Book Store features books, for both the young and the older.

“We have books especially for Mother’s Day,” Byrd said. “Some are heart-felt and others are just funny. Mothers will enjoy both.

Barbara Johnson’s “Humor Me, a Geranium Lady’s Funny Little Book” is just that. A funny little book.  However, the Geranium Lady plays a close second fiddle to Johnson’s “Fresh Elastic for Stretched Out Moms.”

And right up there will Barbara Johnson’s “funny book” is Jeanne Bice’s “Pull Yourself Up by Your Bra Straps.”

All three books are worth more than a dollar’s worth in laughs.
