Troy PD makes arrest in connection with homicide case

On May 26, the Troy Police Department arrested Kentaurie Daevon Fulpher, 20, and charged him with murder in connection to a May 23 Troy shooting.
TPD responded to a shooting incident at 2:23 a.m. on May 23 in the 400 block of Aster Circle in Troy, where officers found a 23-year-old woman deceased.
On May 26, TPD arrested Troy resident Fulpher and charged him with murder connected to the crime. Fulpher is being held at the Pike County Jail awaiting an Aniah’s Law hearing.
Aniah’s Law was passed in Alabama in 2023 and is meant to deny bail to violent offenders accused of certain crimes, which include murder.
