Troy City Offices to be closed for Juneteenth Holiday

The City of Troy offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday.
Wednesday’s garbage and recycling routes will be picked up on Thursday, June 20 instead. Emergency services such as police and fire protection will be fully operational during this time. For any utility outages, contact (334) 566-0177.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Major Gen. Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the Civil War.
