Former Troy University pitcher Logan Ross is offering his knowledge of the game of baseball up to local athletes via private pitching lessons.
Ross, an Opp native, played his final year of collegiate baseball at Troy this season. He boasted a 4.01 ERA with a 4-2 starting record on the mound. He struck out 46 batters this season and had 134 career strikeouts as a Trojan. Ross started his college career at Southern Union Community College, where he earned All-Conference honors. His cousin is Rush Hixon, a former Troy player and former Pike Lib state champion coach.
“I want to start offering my knowledge and many years of work with the younger athletes,” Ross said.
Ross will offer pitching lessons throughout the summer in both Troy and Opp. Each lesson will be 30 minutes and will consist of pitching, hitting and fielding. Anyone interested in lessons, can contact Ross at (334) 208-1805.
