Citizens to host
Gospel Extravaganza
A group of Brundidge citizens will host a Gospel Extravaganza on Saturday, June 22, on the grounds of the historic Bass House in downtown Brundidge. The event will be from noon until 4 p.m. and everyone is invited.
The “Juneteenth Freedom Day” will be first in what is planned to be an annual Juneteenth event in Brundidge.
An entertaining and fun day is planned from noon until 4 p.m. with a time of song and praise. The Gospel Extravaganza will feature area ministers, local musicians, soloists and groups. There will be games for the kids and snacks at this family, faith and fun event.
Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an afternoon celebrating in song and praise.
Jamboree and Youth Awareness Day at Harmony Park
Once again, it’s the time of year for the Annual Scott-Green Family Jamboree and Youth Awareness Day that will begin at 9 a.m. today (Saturday) with a host of speakers and entertainment and the enjoyment of fellowship with friends and neighbors.
The speakers will include Homer Wright, Cornelius Green, the representative from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department Hope Griffin and Troy Police Chief Randall Barr.
Entertainment will include the Randy Ross Line Dancers, Quantaem Sheckley, Greg Wallace, the
Stan “Chilly” Cook & Band, Jacobi Green, as well as the Calvin Pie Allen Line Dancers
Kids Activities will be led by Danielle Evans.
Following lunch there will be prayer and dedication, presentations and acknowledgements
Sunday After Church will be at Meeksville/Harmony Community Park.
