Former NFL veteran Willie Whitehead Jr. and former All-SEC Auburn offensive lineman Leonard Thomas are bringing an Offensive/Defensive Line Skills Camp to Troy on July 20.

The two successful linemen will be teaching skills for offensive and defensive lineman at the camp. The camp is available for players aged from 10 to 17 years old. The training session will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Charles Henderson High School in Troy.

Whitehead is a Tuskegee native that earned All-SEC honors at Auburn before signing with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 1995. Whitehead went on to play for three seasons in the Canadian Football League from 1996 until 1998 before signing with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the Saints from 1999 until 2006. Whitehead recorded 216 tackles, 40 tackles-for-loss, 24.5 sacks and three fumble recoveries during his NFL career. He earned 5.5 or more sacks in three of his eight seasons.

Thomas was a starting offensive lineman for the Auburn Tigers in the 1990s, playing for legendary coach Pat Dye and Terry Bowden. Thomas played a total of 2,220 snaps during his college career and was named All-SEC First-Team twice along with being named to the Hula Bowl All-Star Team. He went on to play for the British Columbia Lions of the CFL.
