Miami receiver Darius Johnson commits to Troy

The Troy Trojans earned yet another commitment from the Class of 2025 when Miami, Fla., three-star receiver Darius “Boobie” Johnson announced his commitment to Troy on Monday.

The 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound receiver is a star receiver at Northwestern High School in Miami. He committed to Troy over offers from schools like Auburn, Arkansas, Appalachian State, FIU, Florida-Atlantic, Georgia State, Liberty, Marshall, SMU, Toledo, Tulane, West Virginia, UAB and numerous others.

Johhnson is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and is also ranked as the No. 193 overall receiver in the country. As a sophomore at Miami-Edison in 2022, Johnson caught 35 passes for 550 yards and six touchdowns. He transferred to Northwestern in 2023. Johnson originally committed to FIU before de-committing on June 13.
