Troy lands pair of Class of 2025 commitments

Over the weekend, the Troy Trojans football team earned commitments form Class of 2025 recruits Reggis Shamberger and Jah’Marren Jackson.
Both players are in-state athletes. Shamberger is a 6-foot-5-inch, 280-pound defensive lineman from Excel High School in Flomaton. Shamberger plays on both the offense and defensive line at Excel, as well as playing fullback. Shamberger committed to Troy over offers from schools like Alabama State, Tuskegee, Illinois State, Jackson State and Jacksonville State.
Jackson is a 6-foot-5-inch, 185-pound wide receiver from McKenzie High School. Jackson caught 50 passes for 782 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023, along with rushing for 161 yards and two scores on 16 carries.
McKenzie is three-sport athlete, playing on the basketball team – where he averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds last year – and is also a member of the track team. Jackson competed in the State Track Meet in the long jump, finishing seventh in the state.
Jackson committed to Troy over offers from schools like Southern Miss and Tuskegee.
