Just a day after landing a Class of 2026 commitment, the Troy Trojans added another piece to their 2025 recruiting class when Niceville, Fla., safety Jon Bocchino announced his commitment to Troy on Wednesday.

Bochhino is a 6-foot, 191-pound safety at Niceville High School in Florida. He tallied 69 tackles, 21 tackles-for-loss, four sacks and six pass breakups as a junior in 2023. Bocchino also brings a set of skills that few defensive backs possess, as he is one of the top rated long snappers in Florida. Bocchino was rated as a three-star long snapper by Kohl’s Kicking.

Bochchino committed to Troy over a slew of other others from schools like Army, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Air Force, Navy, Toledo and Massachusetts. Bocchino also holds scholarship offers from Ivy League schools like Cornell, Pennsylvania, Dartmouth and Fordham.

With that said, I am very excited to announce that I’m 110 percent committed to Troy University.”
