Mrs. Carolyn Halpin Hill Kimbrough

Mrs. Carolyn Halpin Hill Kimbrough, was born March 8, 1946, in Talladega, AL, and died on June 24, 2024, in Montgomery, AL. Her parents were Charles Wallace Halpin and Flois Medders Halpin. Carolyn graduated from Lineville High School in Lineville, Al, then attended Jacksonville State University. She worked as an accountant until her retirement in 2006 when she moved to Troy.

Mrs. Kimbrough is survived by her husband, Dr. James Kimbrough; son, Cavin Hill (Dana); stepson, Dan Kimbrough; stepdaughter, Jan Rhodes (Richie); 17 grandchildren: Cortney Daniels (Brent), Cody Hill (Shawnee), Tanner Adamson, Trevor Hill, Joseph Kimbrough (Deanna), Bryant Kimbrough (Brittany),Jennifer Folmar (David), Mallory Rhodes, Meredith Harrington (Billy), Morgan Sewell (Jarett); 20 great-grandchildren: Carolyn and Bryant Daniels, Jerrhatt and Victoria Hill, Samantha and Nora Harrington, Anna and Abigail Ellerman, Sarah Coggins (Ian), Owen and Olivia Sewell, Paisley, Grant and Lincoln Kimbrough, Aubree Kimbrough, Nolan and Mason Anderson, Jellah and Halle Folmar; sister-in-law, Dr. Glennelle Halpin; brother-in-law, Gibson Kimbrough; along with several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Hill; parents: Charles Wallace Halpin and Flois Medders Halpin; brothers: Buddy Halpin and Dr. Gerald Halpin.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 3pm at First Baptist Church in Troy. Visitation will be held for 2 hours prior to the service from 1-3pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, First Baptist Church of Troy, or a charity of your choice.
