Second Saturday Studio will take place at the Art by the Tracks Studio, across from the Johnson Center for the Arts Saturday from 10-12.
Second Saturday Studio is a free art class that is open to all.
Pam Sutton, a Goshen artist who practices her skills with colored pencil and paint, mostly portraiture, will be the guest artist. She currently has some of her works on display in a gallery in Wetumpka.
“I have always loved fantasy and science fiction, so creating this type of art just comes naturally to me.” Sutton said.
Andrea Pack, Johnson Center for the Arts director, said Sutton has been recognized by Colored Pencil publications, has shown locally, and participates in the Pike County Art Guild. Amateurs and professionals alike can enjoy galaxy painting and use it as a background for another piece, or simply as a stand-alone piece.
“All ages will learn from and enjoy, Second Saturday with Pam,” Pack said. “It’s fun and it’s free and it’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning.”
