The Vine sponsored Movie Night at its church Friday night.
Ticket donations and concessions raised more than $3,000 for Sav-A-Life’s future building project.
Jane Ward, executive director of Sav-A-Life Womens Center in Troy, said she wanted to thank The Vine Church for its fundraising efforts on behalf of Sav-A-Life. Proceeds from Movie Night will be used to help construct a new building for Sav-A-Life on South Brundidge Street.
“We’re just pleased and thankful for Vine Church and their endeavors to get the community together and support our center at the same time,” Ward said. “My staff and several board members were at Movie Night. It was great! We enjoyed everything and greatly appreciate the funds that were raised for Sav-A-Life Troy.
“Our center is here for the community. The Movie Night brought us a few steps closer to building a bigger center so we can serve our community in bigger and better ways.’’
