TROY, Ala., July 22, 2024 – The Troy Regional and Forefront leadership teams recognized Brenda
Thomas, Environment Services (EVS) director, earlier this month after her team achieved the highest
Gallup employee engagement scores recorded in Forefront’s history.
Rob Bride, president of the EVS division of Forefront, which partners with Troy Regional to provide EVS
and food and nutrition services (FNS) to the hospital, praised Thomas for her achievement. “Brenda’s
dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and engaging work
environment have truly set a benchmark,” he said. “The opportunity to recognize her is a testament to
her outstanding contributions and the impact she has made on her team and the entire organization.”
For the last three surveys, Thomas has received the highest Gallup results in the company. Employees
rate their managers on a scale of “0” to “5,” and Thomas received a “5” from her team. The results from
this survey placed her in the 99 th percentile in the country.
Rick Smith, Troy Regional CEO, said, “We are so proud of Brenda and the team she leads at Troy
Regional. They are dedicated to providing a clean, safe environment for our patients and our employees.
Patient care is not only about receiving medical attention, but also about being treated in a clean
environment that is consistently well cared-for.”
Troy Regional partnered with Forefront in 2021 to provide EVS and food services. “Since partnering with
Forefront, we have seen tremendous improvements in our EVS and food services,” Smith said. “We
appreciate the training, expertise and support they bring to our facility as we care for our community.”
Members of the Forefront leadership team made a special visit to Troy Regional to present Thomas with
a plaque and recognize her for her achievement.
