On Monday, July 29, the Troy Baseball team landed a commitment to its Class of 2025 from pitcher Brady Martin.
Martin earned All-State and Pitcher of the Year as a junior at Niceville High School in Florida. He pitched 51 and 1/3innings with a 1.36 ERA on the season. He also boasted 94 strikeouts, which ranked second in the entire state. Martin will be a senior in the 2025 high school season.
Troy also landed a commitment earlier this month from transfer outfielder Gavin Schrader. The 6-foot-4-inch transfer junior is a New York native that started his college career at Niagara University. At Niagara, Schrader earned a .312 batting average in 2024 with 56 runs, 14 doubles, nine home runs and 47 RBIs. He also held a .940 fielding percentage with 61 putouts and two assists. Off the field, he earned Conference All-Academic honors. He played both hockey and baseball at Notre Dame High School.
