Troy Basketball’s conference schedules released

On Thursday, the Sun Belt Conference released the conference schedules for men’s and women’s basketball.

The men’s team will host nine conference games at Trojan Arena, while the women will also host nine home games. Both teams will hit the road for nine games, as well.

The women’s team – coming off a Fab-4 appearance in the WNIT last season – will open the conference schedule on Dec. 29 at James Madison. This will be just the third time the two school’s have met on the hardwood with the series tied 1-1. Troy then hosts a pair of home games against Coastal Carolina on Jan. 2, 2025, and Marshall on Jan. 4.

After a pair of road games at Appalachian State on Jan. 9 and Georgia State on Jan. 11, the Trojans host rival South Alabama on Jan. 16 and Louisiana on Jan. 18. Troy then faces a brutal four-game road stretch at Texas State on Jan. 23, Louisiana on Jan. 25, Arkansas States on Jan. 30 and Southern Miss on Feb. 1.

Troy is back at Trojan Arena for a three-game home stand against Old Dominion on Feb. 5, Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 13 and Southern Miss on Feb. 15. Troy’s final road conference games will be held on Feb. 20 against ULM and at South Alabama on Feb. 22. The Trojans will wrap up the home schedule against Texas State on Feb. 26 and Arkansas State on Feb. 28.

The women’s conference tournament will be held in Pensacola, Fla., March 4-10.

The men’s team opens the conference slate at home against Georgia State on Dec. 21 before traveling to Appalachian State on Jan. 2, 2025, and Marshall on Jan. 4. Troy hosts back-to-back games against Texas State on Jan. 9 and Arkansas State on Jan. 11 before traveling to ULM on Jan. 15 and South Alabama on Jan. 18.

Back at home, the Trojans will enjoy a four-game home stand against Southern Miss on Jan. 23, South Alabama on Jan. 25, Georgia Southern on Jan. 30 and ULM on Feb. 1.

Back on the road, Troy travels to James Madison on Feb. 5, Louisiana on Feb. 12 and Arkansas State on Feb. 15. Troy’s final home games come on Feb. 20 against Louisian and Feb. 22 against Coastal Carolina.

The Trojans will close out the regular season on the road against Texas State on Feb. 25 and Southern Miss on Feb. 28. The men’s conference tournament will be held in Pensacola, Fla., March 4-10.

The rest of the teams’ non-conference schedules are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
