The Big Lots! store in Troy is one of roughly 300 additional Big Lots! stores set to be closed as speculation that the company could file for bankruptcy.

In addition to the “Store Closing” sign in Troy, Big Lots! stores in Bessemer Huntsville, Prattville and Sylacauga are also set to close.

California has the most closings to date with 20 closings posted and five dozen more are to close.

The states with next largest number of Big Lots! stores set to close include California, Florida, Arizona and Washington.
