High School sports are back and the 2024 fall sport season is se to get underway this month at Charles Henderson High School.
Football season gets underway on Aug. 22 as Charles Henderson Middle School travels to Headland. On Aug. 27, CHMS hosts DA Smith at 5:30 p.m. CHMS hosts Coppinville (Enterprise) on Sept. 5 at 5:30 p.m., while hosting homecoming against Greenville on Sept. 12. On Sept. 17, CHMS will host Pike County at 5:30 p.m. before ending the season at Dale County on Oct. 8.
The Charles Henderson junior varsity football team will open up on Sept. 9 at Greenville and then will host Montgomery Catholic on Sept. 16, Greenville on Sept. 23 and Andalusia on Sept. 30. CHHS JV will ravel to Dale County on Oct. 8 and Auburn on Oct. 21 to wrap up the season.
The varsity football team, starts on Aug. 23 at Pike County in a preseason jamboree before hosting the regular season opener against Highland Home on Aug. 29. CHHS hosts Greenville on Sept. 26 and Carroll on Sept. 13. On Sept. 20, CHHS travels to Montgomery-Catholic and travels to Benjamin Russell on Sept. 27. CHHS will host homecoming on Oct. 4 against Andalusia and then finishes the regular season on the road at Headland on Oct. 18, Eufaula on Oct. 25 and Pike Road on Nov. 1.
CHMS Volleyball opens the season on Aug. 26 at home against Greenville and then plays four straight road matches at DA Smith on Sept. 3, Elba on Sept. 9, Admiral Moorer (Eufaula) on Sept. 10 and Coppinville on Sept. 16. CHMS will host DA Smith on Sept. 19 and then travels to Dauphin Junior High (Enterprise) on Sept. 23. CHMS hosts Admiral Moorer on Sept. 24 and then travels to Greenville on Sept. 30 and Ariton on Oct. 1 to close the regular season.
CHHS junior varsity volleyball starts the season on Aug. 24 at the Providence Christian Tournament and then hosts Luverne on Aug. 27. CHHS JV hosts Andalusia on Sept. 3 and Highland Home on Sept. 5 before traveling to Elba on Sept. 9. CHHS JV hosts Brewbaker Tech on Sept. 10 before three straight road matches against Greenville on Sept. 12, Brewbaker Tech on Sept. 24 and Andalusia on Sept. 26. On Oct. 1, CHHS JV hosts Grenville and then travels to Highland Home before finishing up the season with the Trojan JV Classic at home on Oct. 5 and a final road match with Elba on Oct. 14.
The CHHS varsity team starts things on the road on Aug. 24 at the Ariton Varsity Tournament and then the Trojans host Luverne on Aug. 27 and a tri-match with Dothan and Pike County on Aug. 29. CHHS hosts the Trojan Classic on Aug. 31 and then hosts Andalusia on Sept. 3 and Highland Home on Sept. 5.
CHHS travels to Elba on Sept. 9, hosts Brebwaker Tech on Sept. 10, then travels to Greenville on Sept. 12 and then he hosts a tri-match against Dothan and Houston County on Sept. 23. Charles Henderson travels to Brewbaker Tech on Sept. 24 and Andalusia on Sept. 26. CHHS then travels to Opp for a tournament on Sept. 28 and then hosts Greenville on Oct. 1.
CHHS travels to Highland Home on Oct. 3, travels to Dale County for a tri-match against them and Emmanuel Christian. CHHS hosts Elba on Oct. 14 and area tournaments begin on Oct. 16.
Charles Henderson will host its inaugural flag football team. CHHS will travel to Brewbaker Tech on Sept. 10 to start the season and then host Brewbaker Tech in a rematch on Sept. 19. CHHS hosts Carroll on Oct. 8 and travels to Northside Methodist on Oct. 17. CHHS hosts Northside Methodist on Oct. 24 and finishes off the regular season on Oct. 28 at Carroll.
CHHS Cheer will host its annual youth cheer clinic on Aug. 25 from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m. a the CHHS Cafeteria.
CHHS cross country opens the season Aug. 22 at Dothan, travels to Alabaster on Aug. 29, heads to Enterprise on Sept. 7, travels to Providence-Christian in Dothan on Sept. 21 and closes the regular season on Oct. 19 at Grady.
