Hunter education class to be offered Sept. 28.

A hunter education class will be offered in Pike County on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Class will be sponsored by the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The class will be held at the Pike County Cattlemen’s Building, 4100 U.S. Highway 231 South, in Troy, on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Participants must be 10 years old.

To register, visit www.outdooralabama.com or call 334-242-3620. All hunters born on or after Aug. 1, 1977, must complete a hunter education course before purchasing their first hunting license unless hunting under supervision required status or exempted by law.
