Two Troy men have been arrested in connection with an Aug. 11 shooting on Aster Avenue.

According to Troy Police Chief Randall Barr, officers responded to a report of a shooting on Aster Avenue around 2:45 a.m. on Aug 11. Barr said officers located three victims with gunshot wounds. Barr said two victims were transported to Troy Regional Medical Center by ambulance and were later transported by air ambulance to Montgomery area hospitals for further treatment. The third victim was treated on scene and released by paramedics. All three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation, Barr said officers also discovered several apartment buildings and cars had been struck by gunfire.

Barr said two arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.

Jamari Powell, 18, of Troy, was arrested Aug. 14 and charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied building. He was processed at the Troy City Jail and later transported to the Pike County Jail, where he received a $50,000 bond.

Ha’Keem Rease, 23, of Troy, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with three counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Rease was processed at the Troy City Jail before being transported to the Pike County Jail, where his bond was set at $450,000.
