Troy man charged with murder of wife

On September 6, 2024, at approximately 12:42 PM, Troy Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of County Road 2221.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim inside the residence, identified as 37-year-old Jennifer
Paramore Hill of Troy, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Jennifer Hill was immediately transported by ambulance to a hospital in Montgomery, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The victim’s husband, 39-year-old Benjamin Joshua Hill of Troy, was present at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. Following the investigation, Benjamin Hill has been charged with Murder. Benjamin Hill was processed at the Troy City Jail and subsequently transported to the Pike County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending an Aniyah’s Law hearing.
The Troy Police Department is being assisted in this investigation by the District Attorney’s Office and the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
