The Goshen Lady Eagles dropped a volleyball match against the Luverne Lady Tigers on Sept. 10 by a score of 3-1.

Luverne won the first two sets 25-15, 25-18 but Goshen won the third set 25-23. Luverne won the match by taking the fourth set by a score of 25-19. Alyssa Sparks led Goshen with six aces, four kills, one block and eight digs. Laila Hussey earned four aces, two kills, 18 assists and four digs, while Alyssa Pippen tallied one ace, 12 assists and six digs. Anicka Almine chipped in with three aces, one kill and nine digs, while Tarangi Taylor tallied five kills and one block.

On Sept. 5, Goshen earned a 3-0 sweep over the Zion Chapel Lady Rebels. Goshen won all three sets 25-22, 28-26 and 25-15. Sparks led Goshen with seven aces, three kills and eight digs, while Hussey tallied three aces, three kills, 17 assists and two digs. Pippen chipped in with 10 kills and 13 digs, while Anabell Granados tallied four aces, five kills, one assist and one dig. Almine earned two aces and nine digs.
