Lady Bulldogs fall to New Brockton

The Pike County Lady Bulldogs dropped a volleyball match to the New Brockton Lady Gamecocks on Tuesday by a score of 3-1.

New Brockton won the first set 25-14 but Pike County came back to tie the match with a 25-19 win in the second set. New Brockton captured the match by sweeping the next two sets by a score of 25-23 and 25-13.

Essence Martin led PCHS with four kills and four blocks, while Abigail Griffin earned two kills, Tamieja Taylor tallied six kills and Hailey Griffin had three blocks.

New Brockton also won the junior varsity match by a score of 2-0, taking both sets 25-17 and 25-19. Emma Garrett earned eight serving points for the Pike County JV squad, while Martin had seven blocks and seven kills.
