Both The Goshen Lady Eagles and Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots picked up volleyball wins on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Goshen defeated Pike County in a 3-0 sweep, taking all three sets 25-18, 25-16 and 25-22. Alyssa Pippen led Goshen with 13 kills, 11 digs, two aces and three assists, while Alyssa Sparks added 15 digs, eight aces and four kills. Laila Hussey tallied 15 assists, seven digs and three aces, while Anabell Granados earned eight kills, one assist and one dig. Marley Childs totaled six aces and two kills.

Pike Lib also earned a 3-0 sweep over Luverne, taking all three sets 25-20, 25-19 and 25-22. Julianne Meyer led Pike Lib with five kills and eight blocks, while Anna Cate Friday earned five blocks and four kills. Alissa Barron tallied four aces, one kill and four digs, while Amy Ramage chipped in with three aces, two kills, one block and four digs. Camryn Brown totaled two aces, four kills and five digs, while Haylie Brown earned one kill and seven digs. Emma Baker chipped in with one kill and five blocks.
