Pike Lib Volleyball captures third straight regular season area crown

The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots secured their third straight regular season Class 2A, Area 5 Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 sweep over Luverne on Tuesday.

The win also secured an undefeated regular season area record for Pike, going 6-0 in the area during the 2024 season. Pike won all three sets against Luverne 25-9, 25-20 and 25-15.

Camryn Brown tallied seven kills, four aces and nine digs for the Lady Patriots, while Anna Cate Friday totaled seven kills and three blocks. Alissa Barron also chipped in with one ace, one kill and eight digs, while Julianne Meyer earned four kills and Amy Ramage dished 10 assists with five aces and seven digs. Riley Burkett also earned three aces.

The win will secure home court advantage for the upcoming Area 5 Tournament later this month. Pike closes out the regular season on the road at Brantley on Oct. 10 before heading to Goshen for the Goshen VolleyBoo Tournament on Oct. 12.
