The roar of motorcycles is not that unusual in the City of Troy.

However, the rumbling of many motorcycles on Tuesday afternoon attracted the interest of more than a few store owners and shoppers.

And the fact that the riders didn’t speak with a Southern drawl, generated even more curiosity.

The motorcyclists are from Germany and are on a tour of the United States with Marion and  Reiner Heller.

About a decade ago, the Hellers realized that the United States has many amazing  and varied vistas in every state that should be experienced. However, not from  inside of a travel bus or a motor coach. America the beautiful should best be experienced from the seat of a motorcycle.

And, that’s the opportunity that the Hellers’ tours offer… “the amazing beauty of the United States of America…on a “bike”

“The United States has so much beauty to enjoy,” the Hellers said. “And the beauty is varied, from Key West, to Mount Rushmore to see the amazing rock carvings of four American Presidents, So much beauty to see and so much diversity to experience.”

The United States is a wonderfully amazing country “from sea to shining sea,” the Hellers’ bikers agreed.

The Hellers’ tours offer a unique way of seeing the USA or faraway places up close and personal. However, to join a tour, one must have access to A motorcycle, know how to drive it or be satisfied to occupy the rumble seat.
