Troy Volleyball drops Sun Belt Conference match to Georgia Southern

The Troy Trojans (7-8, 2-3) hit the road on the Thursday for a Sun Belt Conference volleyball matchup against the Georgia Southern Eagles (13-1, 3-0) by a score of 3-0.

Troy lost all three sets 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20. Tori Hester had a big night for the Trojans with 20 kills, one ace and five blocks, while Amiah Butler tallied eight kills, two aces, 10 digs and three blocks. Janelle Stuempfig dished 19 assists, while Jordan Sinness earned 12 assists. Audrey Worthington earned six blocks with two kills.

Reagan Barth led Georgia Southern with 11 kills, five aces and five digs.

“Georgia Southern played more consistent and efficient than us tonight. We had some highlights but were a little too high-error tonight to be successful. Tori played really well tonight and I hope we can build on that and make some adjustments for another competitive match tomorrow.”
